There's no mention of a constant internet connection in the system requirements, but it's also not something EA is known to do.
The few times when a single player game required a constant online connection, it was met with controversy. Assassin's Creed II (Ubisoft) had it (but I think it no longer does), and so does the more recent Crash Bandicoot 4 (Activision). EA will want to avoid something like that.
Additional to @Fred_vdp, yes, you require an EA account and either Origin or EA Desktop.
