Just so you know VR edition does not mean massive profits.
The pool of VR players is very small compared to consoles and pc. As you can see even AC creed vr did not have great sales, so without there being a large enough pool of VR users (ON the same vr and not spread apart to 6 different vr headsets they would need to mod it individually for)
There is also a big difference between a modder that specifically knows how to make vr work for games, and a corporation agreeing to spend a large amount of money to hire someone to possibly make a vr version, if it does work, long term vr support bc it will be needed. Big corporations don't just do let's make VR okay done. There is a board of directors it would have to go through, they would have to do marketing to see if it value is even worth the cost (which it probably isn't) and how much it would cost to hire developers that specialize in this.
It's harder than "let's make vr, okay done boss."
VR players be entitled, without doing any basic research.
