While that would be a strong argument for me getting a VR headset finally I cant help but doubt they would risk an established trilogy trying such a large undertaking.
If they reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally wanted to do it then I imagine it would be a small mass effect VR spinoff. like.... we talking you play on a colony or ship that is being attacked by rachni during the rachni wars and the whole game focuses on that one location. Then maybe a brief trip to the citadel, probably very horror orientated or exploration based.
A game completely isolated from everything else so if it flops it can be swept under the rug and not impact anything else in the franchise.
In short, dont get your hopes up for ME VR anytime soon.
I agree VR would work best as a spinoff. There is a multiplayer VR Star Trek game called Bridge Crew where everyone has a position on the bridge and has to work together to complete missions. I haven't played it, but I like the concept. I think something like that could work in a Mass Effect setting.
