Hey @TrySpinning
Peer-to-peer connection has some pros and cons and I'm sorry to hear that so far you've experienced mostly the bad side of it ☹️
Unfortunately, for now we don't have any plans to introduce dedicated servers for multiplayer in Mass Effect Andromeda. Just like in Mass Effect 3, multiplayer has been based on peer-to-peer architecture.

I know it doesn't make anyone feel better to know, but the same problems exist still in ME3 MP.
For the most part, I think the match finder does a good job of getting people with relatively good ping times together in the same game. You can't account for someone doing heavy multitasking on their system, or having an inconsistent connection. Its also a huge maintenance and upkeep savings for EA/BioWare to not have dedicated servers.
The bad part is when you have friends you want to play with, and without an MP server, you are all struggling to be in the same game. My friends weren't picked based on their traceroute results, and the lack of MP servers make it difficult for us to play together sometimes.
The fix for that is to pick the best one of the group you want to play with at hosting for the group, and have them host the game. You create a private game, get your friends into the game, and then open the game after everyone has joined to bring in other players to fill the roster if you need it. This way you get all friends in the game, best connection possible for the group and extra people when needed. This is one way it makes it easier for it to be Peer to Peer for what you want. This also lets you decide what type of game you want to play, level, modifiers, or special runs.....everything is under the control of your group.
We have been playing since the beta, and have a pretty good idea about the peer to peer shortcomings, and how to play with it.
You mistake my post...yes, what you describe is how we play. Mine is usually the best connection. When I'm not there, some in the group simply could not join each other's lobby. I get there, and it's Wait, Tea, you host! I don't mind, and everyone connects. The problem is that without that one person essentially playing the role of server, it sometimes is difficult, or just doesn't work.
Edit: Ugh posting from my phone isnt working much better :P
