weapon mods bug

Ok, so for those of us who don't use a pc:
Are there any reasonable fixes for this at all? This is the kind of slowly eating away issue that really kills fun and undermines customer confidence. I use PS3 in case you wondered.
Some additional info .
I have two characters, one make shep, one fem shep, both paragon. Male shep did not have these issues, femshep does.
Male shep was started on me2 with genesis installed. I had none of these problems with him, BUT I also didn't install some dlc, leviathan, omega, citadel, extended cut and some appearance packs, until I was we'll into the game. Played both me2 and 3 once on casual.
Fem shep was started from scratch, I bought the standalone me1 from the psn store. Bring down the sky content worked, but pinnacle station did not. Played through once on casual
Fem shep was imported into me2 with no edits, played through once on casual.
I played me2 with all dlc installed from the start, before gameplay. No real problems
On importing to me3, I changed nothing except hairstyle. I'm playing on casual with all dlc installed before gameplay.
I still have save data for my male shep on me3
Male shep was an infiltrator from start to finish, so from me2 to 3
Femshep was an infiltrator in me1 but changed to soldier in me2 and is a soldier in 3
Male shep is colonist, war hero
Fem shep is spacer, sole survivor
Help would be appreciated.
