So, I'm doing a little of my own digging
I started by purging anything ME3 on my PS3, all saves, all DLC and patches.
I restarted the game, but I ONLY installed the patch that's prmompted by starting the game, version 1.08. I did not re-download or install DLC
I'm nearly finished up on the mars mission now, and no problems so far. As opposed to last time, I installes all mods as soon as I could, rather than waiting to return to Normandy.
I'm not sure however if I've missed the Vindicator Battle rifle.
Just to be clear, there are NO other saves for ME3 on my system other than this playthrough.
Ok, a minor breakthrough. The last time, I noticed something wrong when I used the normandy's weapon bench. This time, with all the circumstances as laid out above, no problems. I'm going to repeat the process but this time with DLC installed. Wish me luck.
