What?! you mean after 5 years in the making, they didn't put a nice rage quit button in? This is an outrage! (i jest)
I've alt-f4'd a few times when i've really needed to shutdown quickly, and its not affected my game at all on subsequent boot-ups.
I do agree though that a nice exit to desktop feature would be nice where it would just ensure nothing important for the game is running before it kills the game in memory.
