Damn that Krogan woman thing bothers me too.... they went from full patriarch too full equality in five seconds and the embassy thing........
BioWare simply don't care about their own universe, just the next release.
Star Trek took at least 40 years to pile up that amount of plot holes

> Krogan women
Anyone remember ME2 and Grunt and the war stories Okeer implanted into his head? One of the stories was about Shiagur.. a *Female Warlord*. And she was *fertile* too.
Taken from Google:
"... Shiagur was a female warlord – and one of the few remaining fertile females, at that. She had, through viciousness and cunning, parlayed her unique value into a position of power. Krogan males competed for the right to join her band and lie with her..."
So how exactly is it a "lore problem" that fertile Krogan females travel anywhere they please - including other galaxies - when ME2 has already established that fertile Krogan women would sometimes even become Warlords in their own right and wage war as they pleased? That also means they accepted the risk of getting killed in combat (which ultimately happened to Shiagur - she was killed by Turians). Men were free to join her armies and if they were worthy she'd lie with them... or they were free to keep their mouths shut and stay out of her way.
The "Mass Effect" series has *always* shown Krogan females as strong and independent with men having very little say over them. If they want to travel to other galaxies or become a Warlord and start a full war with the Turians they very much will do exactly that.
In the Multiplayer there's also the "Krogan Gladiator". Actually it should be "gladiatrix" in correct Latin because that one is female too. ;-)
