Windows 8.1 ME3 will not launch.

I know other threads have covered this, but I have yet to find a fix that works. Every time I launch Mass Effect 3 (or my other Mass Effect games), I get a black screen and then it dissapears to the tool bar. Tried running compatibility for win7 and xp tried running origin and ME3 as administrator. Also tried launching it from Origin and from the .exc file, as well as reinstalling both Origin and the game. And repairing the program and updating it. It has worked for a while,  but now it does nothing.

I am running it on a Windows 8 PC, Intell i5, 12g of ram.

Just looking for some clear instructions on how to fix this.
