Fishing on Nintendo Switch 2

I'm having an issue with fishing on MySims for the Nintendo Switch 2 . Sometimes the bobber goes down and pressing A doesn't bring it back up no matter how many times it's pressed. This seems especially prevalent in the forest area. Saving the game and restarting it does not fix the issue and it happens consistently. I saw this bug was reported over a year ago but I didn't see if a patch was implemented or what console the bug appeared on originally. Figured I would see if anyone else was still experiencing this problem?
