2015 NFS Game lag (PS4)

Hi, I've been playing the Need For Speed (2015) since it came available and I really love it. But in the past two weeks, the gameplay lags, or in the other words the display slows down every on or two seconds and it repeats through the whole gameplay! It's still playable but it is so annoying and controling the car is so difficult. First I thought it might be an issue with the network connection, so I gave it some time but it still lags a lot. Also I have a highspeed internet and I usually play at midnight and I always play alone because I do not have Playstation Plus. I'm sure that there is nothing wrong with my network connection and the gameplay started to lag after I defeated Eddie.

Also, I really appreciate that EA made an awesome NFS which is the best in the last ten years, but there is only one problem with the game and that is the limitted garage space. Five spots are not enough and all my friends and everyone in CarThottle agrees with that. If you guys can expand the garage space in the next update or dlc, that would be great and everyone will like it.

I really appreciate if someone can help me fix the lagging problem.
  • Hi @persianhiphop,

Thanks for the kind words about Need for Speed. Good to hear that you are enjoying the game.

Let's see if we can make your experience even better by getting rid of the lag! The first step would be to check out our troubleshooting guide that details both technical and connectivity steps:

    http://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/READ-ME-FIRST-NFS-Basic-Troubleshooting/td-p/4908815

I did experience an issue similar to yours when gaming on my console. I managed to resolve this by changing to a wired connection. However, I also had to power cycle my router and make sure my two mobile devices, a laptop and a desktop were meanwhile disconnected from the internet--the devices weren't actively doing anything on the internet, but they still caused interference. To add to that, I have a 225 mbit connection which is really fast!

I hope these tips will help you get rid of the lag. If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Thank you very much for the tips Tom. Actually I was going to connect wire, but a few nights ago the internet and phone got disconnected from the company and it took a long time until the morning when the internet came back. After that, the game runs without any lags. So there was some connection problems from the company (Shaw Cable).

Actually I should mension that I've found some bugs with the Dodge Challenger SRT8. I wrote about it last night and posted it on the forums. The problems are with the graphics. I hope you guys will read it and help with the issue.

    Thank you so much.

    Hi @persianhiphop,

Glad to hear that the issue went away. Sometimes it can indeed be your ISP--in those cases there is sadly nothing you can do yourself, and you will have to wait until it is resolved (I don't like waiting, yet I still like fishing...???).

Anyway, I hope you are enjoying the game again meanwhile.. :eahigh_file:

As for the bugs with the Dodge, if you mention it on the forums I will have it looked at. Thanks again!
