@ZeroMcDolI am afraid EA is digging her own grave with all this b u ll s h i t that's all i have to say
I agree. I just hope that the game survives. I may not like it as much as Test Drive Unlimited 2 (Especially now, with the new mods), but I do like it.

I think their trying to see if theirs a model that works without angering the fanbase, ala one free car, and one car to buy, that is probably priced like this to cover the cost for both of them to the game company
although I'm abit taken aback that as an owner of the deluxe edition, which was like a 5 to 10 dollar upgrade for like 10 cars, that I still have to pay for it, and that theirs not even a reduced price for those people who bought into it like I did with that thing.
the most ironic thing being I didnt even really use any of those cars, I saw the testarossa and have stuck with it this whole time, given no other game has such a detailed model of that car, they all use that ugly 512TR model that forza's been using since the Xbox 360 days.
but the flipside is, its also a Mclaren F1, a car with NFS history this time, so it seems abit wrong to do this test, with THIS car out of all of them they could have tried this with.
and then ontop of that the game needs more story and missions to do, as the only one that was fleshed out was that racing one with the black guy with the R32 Skyline, the rest felt oddly short, including the cop story abit. not just a car pack or two.

I think their trying to find a pay model that works here, with one free car, and one car you can pay for, problem is, the price is too high and its the same across the range for all players, 5 bucks, without even a reduced price option for the people who bought into the deluxe edition like I did, and that deluxe edition was like a 5 to 10 dollar upgrade for 10 cars, not just one
then the car has NFS history, it was literally described as that car IS the need for speed way back in the day on the last NFS to have true exotics in it before they started making games about rice burners on the PS2
and the game badly needs an expansion, as alot of the mission lines seemed way too short, like the only ones that were of decent length were the cop ones, and the daytime street racing one with the black guy and the R32, which should have been the standard length for all of them, not to mention how wrong the drifting felt compaired to how it was done in the underground games.
as I miss that feeling of driving on oil and just holding on for dear life, also the most ironic thing is with the deluxe edition, I didnt really need it, as soon as I got the testarossa I stuck with it all the way through, given how detailed and novel it is to finally have a racing game with a good model of this car, and not that ugly one everyone's been using for years on end with the 512TR from the forza series
its just now since the update before last theirs an annoying texture/lighting glitch going on where the tail light blinks as you drive along
which really gets old real fast.
- 6 years ago@ZeroMcDol sorry to say but even the bugs they fix are very minimal. If you see the patch notes they sate 40 times moving trees around. I know they did more stuff. But still we don't get much with this update. 4 months its been already. I am not giving my money again.

Understandable and true.
Putting it bluntly and somewhat mentioned before, I already decided that this would be my last NFS within the first month after this game's release; a few updates doesn't change that. But since I've already bought the game, I might as well enjoy it when I feel like enjoying it, otherwise, it'd be a complete waste of money and I'm not exactly rolling in the dough. Will I buy a cash car here and there as more are offered? Sure, I have buying them included in my budget, if I want one.
Otherwise tho, I'm done deep-six'ing money on games that look pretty but continue to be a disappointment.
Edit: And really, Test Drive Unlimied 2's physics are so good with the recent physics mod (and my AI difficulty and Traffic spawn adjustments) that it even rivals current racing game's physics. So, I have no qualms at all about waiting for a worthwhile online racing game to come along.
- 6 years ago@ZeroMcDol Right choice.NFS wont make much of a difference in the future since fake-Criterion that's working on Heat/NFS2021 now is also the same group of dev under ex-Ghost.Continous failures with the single style will certainly crash the series hard.
- 6 years ago@GK3512 Heat was getting the focus right but the amount of problems and lack of content just sucks. Seeing EA pull this blatant cashgrab on us makes me sick.
Not gonna lie here but I enjoyed the game. If I could play this game 1 on 1 against my friends for example, I would have bought this game a second time.
There is a reason I play NFS over games like The Crew and Forza. I had hoped that this game would have more to it than the past 10 years of NFS. This is also the first NFS game I bought in 10 years.
Lots of things are done so badly in this game, it's as if EA's brains just jammed. - 6 years ago@Sjonny30 So we are different kinds of NFS players.I never see Heat as a right-direction game since it's clear not Back to the Roots NFS like CEO said pre-release.Judging by fake-Criterion/Ghost's previous/current work I doubt future of NFS will make much of a difference(as in a real Root style NFS that saves the name)So I think NFS wont have a long future(certainly not bright)It's right to leave NFS alone since it's going downhill continously ever since rushed unfinished games like MW2012/Rivals out
- 6 years ago@Sjonny30 NFS Heat reminds me of Payback/Rivals, not even close to the roots or even slightly to the right direction as GK3512 mentioned. NFS series started falling after Carbon from that point on NFS is long gone dead nothing remains but its shadow.
- 6 years ago@selticus1978 I think the last good NFS worth the name was HP2010.Custom/Story/Characters arent what NFS about when the series started in 1994.Sadly they are what NFS is chasing pathetically right now(which was a 15 years old gone trend) so I dont have much faith in current NFS
- 6 years ago@selticus1978 Neh it went downhill after Hot Pursuit 2, speceficly from 2003. Because Underground 1 was allready in development, when they finished Hp2. I remember i had teaservideo from underground, that i got with Hp2 when i got that game. So basicly Black Box had this plan early too destroy NFS cannonball, wich the series got famous for.
- 6 years ago@BVBgamer88 Yes everthing since HP2 are disasters because stupid BB add rocket heli to boom your car off the road.(Hollywood style in BB's words from BTS video)(except HP2010 which was decent as a Cannonball NFS thanks to Criterion takes over rather than EA itself)
