accounts.ea.com redirects to loopback/localhost address upon success?

As I was loading into Need for Speed: Heat I had noticed that there was an issue with logging in and I tested out the usual causes from router settings to local firewalls and any conflicts with the DNS cache (I even tested it out with Google's DNS server and Cloudflare's DNS server to no avail).

I fired up Fiddler and re-attempted to log into EA servers through the game and captured the following near the end where the error occurs: Fiddler screenshot showing an HTTP 302 redirect from accounts.ea.com to 127.0.0.1 or localhost

I don't know why this is occurring and if this is something that is done on purpose when the system is down as a preventative measure against floods of requests to the server while under maintenance from multiple game clients constantly attempting to log in. I did check the hostfile on my machine to see if there wasn't any entries that could be doing this so I'm wondering if I should investigate this further?

Thank you for your time and patience with us, we're just as willing to figure out a solution as the engineers are at EA who are working on this problem.
