NOW that today early I checked for myself that Autolog was working for a few minutes -not properly but working- I have a theory and at least I know that Autolog server is still active.
I'm sure you know that Battlefield 3 and battlefield 4 share the same battlelog server for statistics, and even to play; for example if BF4 server is down you're not able to connect both BF3 or BF4 battlelog.
I dont' know if I'm right but then should be the same for NFS games that share the Autolog feature. I suppose that all NFS games since Hot Pursuit share the same server, so i guess if they try to fix the problem in the server, the service for the rest of NFS games would be affected, or Maybe because the amount of traffic of gamers connecting to the server is over limited because of the amount of players that are playing actual games like Need for Speed or also NFS Rivals are causing that this "older games" cannot connect properly.
So in other words. IMO
1. There is a problem with the server autolog software itself and EA won't fix it because Newer games could be affected; or
2. There is a bad traffic between Autolog server and Players because of this server is linked with all the games that use the autolog feature.
If second point turns to be a case then it should be a better decition to have dedicated servers for individual games and not an only server for any actual and future games. But you know maybe is expensive for EA to do that... That's my theory take it or leave it. XD Sorry if my English is bad, I'm from Latin America
