Black Screen at startup in Need For Speed Rivals for ps3

I am playing N4S rivals on the PS3.  Is there any patch/update or fix, for the blackscreen that I am encountering when I try to play the game.  MY GAMING EXPERIENCE IS 0...I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO PLAY FOR A MONTH! 

I have seen and tried the tutorials on youtube but they are all for a PC.  I need help with this as I have even gone to the extent of buying a new disc to nuetralize the problem but it must be a system glitch.  As all of my other games play fine. N4S rivals dosen't play anymore it just loads my trophies and goes black.
