is anyone else having trouble with these races? i seem to have lost just as many as ive won and more often than not if you "just" win a race you gain less points than you lose if you "just" lose a ra...

Well most guys on tuning are noobs,it shouldn't have been that much of a prob. but i agree 7 star laf isn't going to cut it with so many skilled ccx drivers .i barely used tuning , since any one driving a stock ccx perfectly, can manage better times than with tuning, which sometimes goes waste if you don't drive perfectly. Unless of course the person has mastered tunig.
@jin1995x I apologize for my late reply. All I've been doing is work, work, work, work, work. (Referencing Rihanna's Work song XD )
That is true. I've won races against tuned Koenigsegg CCXs a lot in Season 1 (and Season 2) because either they didn't tune their car enough or they made mistakes.
However, the problem was being match-maked against a high-ranked player with a tuned Koenigsegg CCX who knows what they're doing. (And this mostly happens when I have about the same amount of SP as those high-ranked tuned Koenigsegg CCX players)
I know what I'm doing.
They know what they're doing.
I'm driving an untuned Ferrari LaFerrari.
They're driving a tuned Koenigsegg CCX.
Race starts and I'm behind their butts for the whole race and losing the race by just milliseconds to one second. No mistakes made by me and my opponents.
I lose 30 SP.
Then I have to regain the same amount of SP again until I get match-maked with a high-ranked player with a tuned Koenigsegg CCX once again and lose 30 SP again.
Repeat and repeat.
Tuning can be an advantage if done right and high-ranked players definitely are taking advantage of tuning.
It's only a matter of time when I can experience tuning for myself... 😕

I had starfish and nanofaces both beaten. But they were avid tuning enthusiasts . I could beat em without it.
I never raced Starfish before yet, but I raced NanoFaces quite a few times and lost in every single one of them.
I think you may have gotten one of NanoFaces' worst runs. Who knows...? lol
And congrats!

Goodluck for the next sasons!
Thanks! You too!
As you can see from my screenshot below, it's pretty obvious I'm driving my Ferrari LaFerrari and not my Pagani Huayra. 😃
However, the reason why I'm driving my Ferrari LaFerrari was I wanted to race on the new Novato Bay tracks that were implemented in Blackridge Rivals. So I took my Ferrari LaFerrari for a spin and started winning (and losing) in Blackridge Rivals.
Funny thing is I needed to drive my Ferrari LaFerrari to win against "generic" Trippa whenever I get match-maked with that AI. I wouldn't stand a chance against that AI with my underwhelming Pagani Huayra which lacks a lot of upgrades.
Oh, and I watched Kanan's video of me.
Great video, but I hate the game for giving him one of my worst runs in Heatseeker Rush when I did so many runs that I finished within 28 seconds. Out of all of my runs, why one of my worst runs...?
Oh well.
It's good to see the NFS No Limits Reddit community knows what I'm capable of and knows I'm one of the legit top drivers in Blackridge Rivals. 🙂
I've been in gaming videos on YouTube before. Kanan's video isn't the only gaming video I'm in.
Here's a NFS World gaming video that I'm in (and obviously losing): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwJdhxS05Qk&t=7s
This is what I see from all of the posts and comments about Blackridge Rivals:
If a player wins races there, then Blackridge Rivals is fun.
If a player loses races there, then Blackridge Rivals sucks.
Honestly, this is just what I see from these. More on the "sucks" side than the "fun" side though.

@TheRealJony well i had nano again this season on vice force i had a 39.xx time untuned he was in 40.xx. .
@jin1995x Wow!
I raced NanoFaces again and I also raced StarFish, but I lost to both of them. Their cars were Tuned while my Ferrari LaFerrari was untuned as usual.
Well, I think it comes down to these two possibilities:
1. You're a better racer than I am
(This is bad for me when I've been playing No Limits from the very beginning)
2. My Ferrari LaFerrari's top speed disadvantage
I only have issues with players that have Tuned cars and know what they're doing. Other than that, I would have a pretty huge winning streak.

As for Kanan's vid, well he's just uploaded that since he got that ghost. Had he got a better one he'd upload that one, though no one's more consistent than him on heatseeker, his average time there is 28.5 or so.
He keeps making vids every now and then you'd have seen, the number of link's he's posted.
I've seen all of his videos up to the video that I'm in so far.
And you're right. He is quite talented.
Maybe I can be featured in another one of his videos. I do enjoy watching myself race. lol

Also yes its funny hiw the game gives out bad ghosts, i have had 29.07 untuned and numerous 29.xx's on sparkwall rush on the same day, yet the game gives out 31.xx ghost of mine. It's too annoying lol. Especially wheb you had better races on the same day
I got one of your worse runs on Sparkwall Rush. Your time was 30 something seconds. lol
And of course, I won that race.
These bad runs can definitely give the impression that we're "Leaderboard wannabes" when we're really not. 😞
@jin1995x wrote:
yeah good job with the 5584 i wonder who's this new arkc guy who popped up overnight.
I think that guy just had lucky races that featured worse runs with top players and won them. That probably explains why they risen to the top of the leaderboard so quick.
However, the guy probably kept losing races that featured best runs with low-SP players later on and suddenly disappeared from the leaderboard.
This is an example of a "Leaderboard wannabe". 😛
Yea...I don't call a player a cheater until I actually race them. 😉
@jin1995x wrote:

but i think you are rather more famous as the guy who held the first spot in preseason for long. That's how most people have read your name, and that is why there was a hype around you which is why you are now proud that people finally know you're legit lolol.
I totally see why I'm more famous for holding the #1 spot in Preseason the longest. I think I held it for about a month or so.
Until I got rusty and lost races near the end of the Preseason. Ugh.
Not one of my best moments.
Well, I'm living up to my fame from Preseason in Season 2. Me and Inline X are head-to-head for the #1 spot on the leaderboard right now. lol
However, there were obstacles in the way.
I had been match-maked with a cheater that finished Vice-Force Run (featuring Blackridge Strip in the day) at 21 seconds. Had 48 SP deducted.
Oh, and can you thank sChleMMeR82 for decreasing 35 SP from me? Thanks.
I got match-maked to race his tuned Koenigsegg CCX on Vice-Force Run (featuring Blackridge Strip in the day) and lost by a few milliseconds.
As from yesterday, I've been pressuring Inline X to continue racing when I'm right behind their butt on the leaderboard. Patiently waiting for them to mess up and drop on the leaderboard (happened once already).
By the way, I did all of this with my 7-Star Ferrari LaFerrari.
I didn't buy any crates from Holiday Season crates.
Reasons are:
1. Not enough Gold
2. Not interested in buying them anyways

@luksy82 All I'll say is this...
Improve.
Here's some tips:
1. Use nitrous strategically
2. Avoid hitting anything (only hit stuff if you have to)
3. Keep your speed high
4. Always get Perfect Launch
All you need to do is improve and you can possibly be on the Top 200 leaderboard in Blackridge Rivals.
U mean u have been racing with legendary turbo part on ur LF all this while ?
"Boss" is the name on the leaderboard
@CMBosss wrote:
U mean u have been racing with legendary turbo part on ur LF all this while ?
@BossNaija Of course.
Having a high top speed is useless if you can't reach it in a race.
The only times when having a high top speed matters are races with Nitro Zones like High Tension Run (featuring Ironboar Bridge Blast during the day), but even then the Ferrari LaFerrari still reaches its max speed quicker than the Koenigsegg CCX.
Now if you're able to have continuous Nitrous by driving over those Nitro Zones, then there's no max speed cap as long as Nitrous is activated. Your car can go 500 km/h, 600 km/h, or 700 km/h as examples.
Side-note:
Only do comparisons with Maxed Untuned car vs. Maxed Untuned car or Maxed Tuned car vs. Maxed Tuned car.
Don't do mixed comparisons like Maxed Untuned car vs. Maxed Tuned car. The results will be skewed.
Currently, my Ferrari LaFerrari's max speed is 487 km/h. That's a decent enough max speed for me, so I stopped upgrading my LaFerrari's Turbo and kept it legendary.
Below are three screenshots proving that I managed to reach #1 with a legendary Turbo with my LaFerrari. 😛

Wow, I raced you quite a few times.
Only when you decided to tune your Koenigsegg CCX for particular races are the ones I have trouble with.
I won races when you decided not to tune your Koenigsegg CCX, but I lost a handful of races when you decided to tune your Koenigsegg CCX.
From what I saw from your ghost car, you're a talented racer. 🙂
When Season 3 of Blackridge Rivals starts in the new year, I'm hosting a challenge for everyone to participate.
More details will be revealed in the new year.
Psst. There will be prizes awarded. Shh... 😉
Woow, thats some solid feat, more respect to you, for not having a maxed LF but still puling all the weight, easier to control too and thats all that matters....
I am glad u think am talented, where infact ur one of the best drivers on the Ridge, i think i have won maybe 3 or 4 races with you & it wasn't easy by a long shot, infact once i see ur name, i adjust my senses a tad more......lol.... i actually purposely lost a few in pre season and season 1, just to see ur race line since i lost the first two encounters.
when am untuned, if i do see my opponent is easy, i just coast and enjoy the view till i cross the line, but if u see me driving like a maniac, be rest assured that ghost needed to make a statement.
i stopped bothering with PB when the system decides to give maybe a bad race or average when infact u had awesome races......... i think i was the first to beat Trippa in reddit, then still went ahead untuned to 19.2 on same track, thats one of the best tracks presently.
Will use my fully tuned LF in season 3, and i intend to push it to the limits..... lol
Your challenge will be welcome.... will be looking forward to it

You must have had a lot of Sunday drives when you're better than the majority of the players in the world. lmao 😃
@CMBosss wrote:

I think it's because traffic and police roadblocks aren't synchronized properly when you raced my best runs.
Very rarely, there's traffic and police roadblock sync issues which can drastically affect a win in a Blackridge Rivals race.
I'll give some examples.
1. On your screen, you see a clear road up ahead. However, my ghost car on your screen just randomly crashed out of the blue.
Now on my run, there was traffic and I collided with it. I, then, dropped to 0 km/h after the impact.
2. On your screen, you see a police roadblock up ahead. You swerve around it.
However, there was no police roadblock on my run. I went straight through the place where there's supposed to be a police roadblock.
Most of the time, traffic sync and police roadblock sync are the same between two players.
Very rarely, traffic sync and police roadblock sync are broken between two players with one being given a slight advantage.
@CMBosss wrote:

It took me two attempts to win against "Generic" Trippa on LeapFrog Rush (featuring Novato Bay Avenue at night).
First attempt, I was caught off guard of how fast "Generic" Trippa accelerated.
Second attempt, I knew how "Generic" Trippa accelerated and changed tactics. I won that race.
Novato Bay tracks are fun tracks. However, I wish there were a lot more corners in them though.

And I guarantee that anyone that participates in my upcoming challenge will find improvement on their driving.
Spread the word! :eahigh_file:

@TheRealJony i have beaten you on heatseeker twice (one when you did 31, one 29) , trip wire with some mediocre time, once on horizon sprint, and once on sparkwall this season. Of these races only the horizon sprint was a closee one others were average mediocre times from you .
@jin1995x Oh man.
Whyyyyy?
Why does the game put my name to shame...?
Why??? T_T
At least I was able to provide a challenge to you on Horizon Sprint. And thank goodness you got my worse runs as I'm pretty sure other people will win and say that I'm a "Leaderboard wannabe". 😞

I also observed how you use nitro in certain tunnels. Exactly the way i do. Espescially in horizon, where you can't go slow .
A pretty neat tilt drift nitro exploit, only a few tilt players like us both will know how good it is.
I interpreted it like this:
If a player is good at it, then it's a feature.
If a player sucks at it, then it's an exploit.
😉

good job with tha laf!🙌🏻 Good luck for rank one. Though this season is going to be the toughest for anyone who wants to do rank one!
Thanks!
I see somebody had too much pressure and messed up on their race that caused them serious SP. 👿
Although, I'm more than sure they're coming back for round 3. lol
I noticed in the Top 200 leaderboard that there were many Chinese players with "CHN" as part of their names.
This leads me to believe that they're a crew and are striving to be the best crew in Blackridge Rivals.
I wonder if there are English crews around...? Or if there are any...?
@jin1995x wrote:

The funny thing is I only do it when racing in Blackridge Rivals.
Outside Blackridge Rivals, I ram AI opponents to try to take them out for $500 each. lmao 😃
I race and I ram (only to AI opponents).

But I'm not a girl. I'm a guy. 😃
I'm a young guy who is a Swiftie.

Awesome!
I have never been in a crew before, but I do have some decent ideas on how to make a successful crew.
I've played NFS World and there were tons of crews in the game (even though there was no official Crew system in the game).
I've also seen their crew threads and their threads look very impressive to attract people to joining their crew.

That's quite an impressive feat. Props to you!
@BossNaija I know it when I see it.
And you just proved me right. You are a talented driver. 😛
Your #3 spot says it all.
Although I'm shocked at how you both managed to upgrade your Ferrari LaFerraris so quick (unless you guys already had installed everything prior to Holiday Season crates being on sale) since I'm still managing to upgrade my Koenigsegg CCX. I still haven't unlocked Tuning for any of my cars yet...
I finished #30 on Blackridge Rivals Season 2. Pretty pathetic.
But at the same time, it was pretty darn good when I managed to place that high on the leaderboard with my 7-Star Ferrari LaFerrari.
I couldn't compete for the #1 spot when all of my cars lack tuning. And that was the reason on how I had a pretty big downfall.
Got match-maked to race both of you and others with tuning that know what they're doing. No chance of winning and had a pretty big SP deductions.
Although I did have quite a few "Race of the Season" during Season 2 though. 👿
I only can post three screenshots at a time though. I'll post them on my next post.
My highest SP was 5906 SP in Season 2 until my opponent destroyed it with their car with superior performance to mine.
I didn't make any mistakes.
They didn't make any mistakes on their run.
I lost.
I only could win I got my opponents' worst runs.
By the way, my challenge should be up shortly. 🙂
Race of the Season 2 #1
I didn't make any mistakes.
My opponent didn't make any mistakes.
However, I took a corner much faster than my opponent and that was the difference between winning or losing.
Please post in the following board, it is the DE board for NFS:
http://answers.ea.com/t5/Andere-Need-for-Speed-Spiele/bd-p/other-nfs-games-de
I don't need to understand German to know what @Spetty1504 is grumpy about. (I believe that's the mild description of how Spetty is feeling)
Once again, EA/FM take whatever smidgen of fun and excitement we can eek out of BRR, right out of the game, by introducing more and more AI Ghosts with impossibly fast cars that far exceed any kind of PR capability us mere gamers are confined to. (gamers being the generous folk who fund EA/FM)
Since the start of season 3 my SP has remained around the 4,500 mark because it's impossible to progress. Why you might ask? Well it's very simple... when you start making progress towards 4,600, BRR 'randomly' pits you up against an AI Ghost with 4500 SP in an untuned Koenigsig or even a McLaren ... which should be a cinch to beat in a maxed out CCX fully tuned with 7 spanners and a perfect start, Right?
WRONG!
The AI Ghosts have some 'magic' under the hood that us mere mortals are not privy to. AI Ghost, 'Mikey_M' has a jet engine in his McLaren, because even against my perfect start, I'm sucking on his NOS fumes from the first second, Against my 'perfect run' with a new personal best time, he's already sitting at the clubhouse sipping on a virtual Martini, while I'm finishing up the race!!! ... and I'm 30 to 40 SP down for the privilege!!! WFT? Rinse and repeat and before you know it you're trying to fight your way back up to 4,500 after a few of these UBER AI cars.
I've posted just a few examples below... Note these AI Ghosts are typically way better than my personal best with full tuning.... and they ALWAYS have a lower SP, so that when I lose, I lose BIG.
So much for BRR being a player vs player tournament! It's just a total scam. Currently I'm racing AI Ghosts as much as 30%-40% of the time. They always have a perfect run and finish with the same 'record' time each race, give or take 0.01 of a second occasionally.
What exactly is EA/FM trying to prove or achieve by introducing AI ghosts at the lower SP levels of the game? I can understand introducing them occasionally at the top end of the leader-board when there are few real player ghosts to match against.
Anyway, I'm well past being annoyed by the lack of intelligence, fun and genuine competitiveness in NFSNL.... but seeing @Spetty1504's post, I thought I'd give the English version of what he's on about. I'll just continue playing my 15 annoying BRR races a day for the cash, until I've maxed out all my cars in the garage with black parts.
PS... one BIG hint if you do want to compete in the top 200... get yourself a really slow device like little Jony (i.e an iPod Touch) so that the game slows down to a snails pace and you have all the time in the world to dodge EST's, ramps, roadblocks etc and to pick the perfect line every time. No need to have fast reaction times or figure out what you gonna do in milliseconds... you have all the time in the world!
I figured this out when my lightening fast iPhone 6s Plus had too many apps loaded and slowed NFSNL down to about a 10th of the game's normal speed. I won all five BRR races while sipping my coffee and having a smoke all at the same time. But hey, what's the fun in that, unless you want to swing your charlie around the forum pretending to be a genius racer, when all you are is a loser with a slow device that makes you look like a superstar in the rankings. Personally, I'd hate to play NFSNL or any game at those horribly slow speeds. It would bore me to tears and there would be absolutely no satisfaction beating opponents running on fast devices who are actually being challenged to complete a perfect run.
@jin1995x to be able to tune a car, it needs to be maxed out on black parts. I.e. my CCX is at 1053PR
On a slow device, it doesn't matter whether you use tilt or touch, either way you do not require lightening fast reaction times and have plenty of time to ponder whether to go left or right and weave your way past these irritations with ease.
After playing NFSNL at max speed for over a year, your reactions become so well honed that playing at a 10th or even half the speed, makes winning child's play.
In slow-mo... dodging EST's and all the other obstacles was so easy I actually laughed out loud when I realized how most of the guys at the top are actually getting there. So much for all the back slapping and aggrandizement of NFSNL's so called "Icons"
Personally, I'm a high speed kinda guy and playing a game with 'trainer wheels' attached has absolutely no appeal to me... that's for the little ones.
As for the track... that's Novato Coast Highway Sunset.... it's a Nitrous Run.
@jin1995x I agree with you. An untuned CCX should be able to win, particularly with a perfect start and a perfect run. However, against an AI Ghost, I've even been ahead and followed a perfect line and the McLaren comes screaming past me like I'm looking for parking a third of the way through the track.... and I'm supposedly running at 500kph hitting every nitro strip. Theoretically it should be impossible to catch me.
