Can I start a new game in Need for speed payback

there is no option to reset progress yet. you have to delete the save game, if on PC this is in the Mt Documents, if on console you will have to find the game files

to use the derelict cars in a different way without making a new game you just gotta get them all

Save your game to online storage or USB. Delete story you have in the system storage. 

It will automatically start a new game. 

Then if you want your old game,  download  it
