@The1stKingBleach It will be fine.
Your videos will receive a copyright claim to let you know your videos are ineligible for monetization, even if you are not monetizing your videos. But this copyright claim won't affect your channel and is also not a copyright strike.
- @TheRealJony In English. You wont make money .

The OP wasn't planning to make money off their videos anyways. lol
I can also confirm this, as I have my own YouTube channel and sometimes extend copyrighted songs.
Heads up about YouTube policy for users of that network.
All YouTube content providers and users must monitize thier channels to not lose their own channels.
You can read more at YouTube policy changes for Jan 2020.
Also, you can't add music to your video unless you created the song and have proff of ownership of all music you create.
Adding music content in videos that you don't own is not allowed on YouTube.
Oh I should mention that there are websites where you can purchase music as background for your videos.
It's knowen as Royality Free Music.
This however requires an account and payment to use the music.
Have a great day. 😁
Thanks for the info. I didn't know these things.
So YouTube is going to make me monetize, kinda funny, since their current policy is 1,000 subscribers to do so. So I guess their now changing that rule in favor of greed. I suppose as long as I can keep my channel, then fine.

If all YouTube channels must monetize their channels in order to not lose their channel, then there wouldn't be a whole lot of channels left (including mine) to watch. lmao XD
YouTube channels that are not being monetized are just as important as the ones being monetized. There are WAYYYYYYYYYY more channels that are not monetized than channels that are monetized.
People could upload videos for fun (like I do).

You can add a snippet of music you don't own in your videos. It's called fair use.
There's a difference between adding a 3 second snippet of a song and adding a 1 minute duration of a song in a video.

Like I said, adding just 3 seconds of a song is allowed as it's fair use. Nothing wrong with that.
Dude I tried that 3 second sound bite once and YouTube took my video down for copyright strike.
So I never did that again.
Also I had reached out to YouTube about fair use.
They told me with the new laws for the music industry they will protect music Artists and that the fair use is not valid on their service platform.
If you disagree that's fine.
Go contact YouTube yourself and learn what I already know.
Also like I said people can only use their own copyrighted music or to use a service that offers Royalty Free Music.
Go read the full terms of service also starting January 2020.
All channels must be monitized or at some point YouTube will remove your channel.
Have a great day 😁
I made the song from scratch and have EVERYTHING to prove it lol. Just wanted to know if I could add my song to the game play videos and post it on my channel

Then you must be unlucky. lol
I uploaded like 40+ videos with just 10 seconds of a song and my videos are all fine.

I can agree to that.

I don't need to when there's nothing wrong with using just 3 seconds of a song as fair use.

People can also use just a few seconds of someone else's music. It's a different story the longer someone else's music is used.
If fair use is not allowed, then say goodbye to parody videos, memes, gifs, and all that good stuff on the internet.

Show me a link and then I'll read it.
With that said, I'll end it here as you don't want to have constructive arguments. lol

I thought you meant using someone else's music for your videos. lol
There's no problem using your own music in your videos. There's also nothing wrong with uploading gameplay videos as well.
Go ahead and have fun! 🙂
