Cannot connect to EA server - Need for Speed Rivals

I installed NFS Rivals using a redemption code which was recognised fine. When trying to launch the game it tells me that it cannot connect to the EA Server using my PC and account. Can anyone help? Other games are working absolutely fine and connecting to their respective servers.

So the game works now, but its so so slow. Has a terrible lag on it. Its not the laptop as I'm running equally big games with no issue. Any ideas?

If you’ve noticed the performance of your game slowing down, try temporarily disabling Origin In Game in your Origin Application Settings. This should resolve the issue:

    To do this,

    1. Launch the Origin client.
    2. Go to the Origin menu, Application Settings, select Origin In Game,
    3. Uncheck "Enable Origin In Game"

What's the exact error message you are getting, and at what point of the game's startup does it happen? 🙂

Same problem here on Xbox One, 4 years later. Are the developers not taking their customers seriously?
