Constant lag spike during start, cooldown and end of cop pursuit

I have an issue with the game freezing for around 2 seconds every time a pursuit starts, cool-down and escape. it freezes each time the change over happens so every chase totals around 6 seconds on average lost. This is especially annoying when you are halfway around a corner or trying to avoid an obstacle at the last minute. It also makes some of the harder gymkhana levels almost impossible to win when you can have around 4-5 cop chases in one mission losing around 24-30 seconds due to the timer continuing while you are frozen.

I have tried everything to fix this issue. Checked ports on my network, used multiple internet connections such as at friends and at work (where there is a 100mbps connection), installed the game twice, tried lowering all graphics settings to the lowest setting, tried private game, connect laptop directly to router.

My laptop is the top end ASUS G751JY Gaming laptop, 16gb ram, GTX980M, Core I7 vPro. The game is installed on a SSD, so there is no issues on performance spec, all latest Nvidia drivers are installed also.

We have similar topic here: Stuttering framerate with a 980Ti

The player in ^this topic reported that he only needed to turn off the Origin In-game & the problem was solved! 🙂

One thing to try to solve the stuttering issue is to disable Origin In-game as this is a well known cause of stuttering in many games.

To disable Origin In-Game, follow these steps:

    1. Open your Origin Client
    2. Click "Origin" in the left corner, and click "Application Settings"
    3. Click "Origin In Game" on the left side of the window
    4. Un-check the box next to "Enable Origin In Game"
    5. Boom...Done

  • Game optimisation for PC's sucks really, I got some freezes too when cops chase me.

I have an ingame inlay with cpu % Gpu% ram use and disk use, at those moments when the game begin to freeze cpu use goes up to 95% (I think our intel i series dont like nfs :x )

I have an intel i5 4690K @4.1Gh and a sli of asus strix GTX960, and for yet only in NFS I can't get constant fps (even by turning it at 30max instead of 60)
