Cop car stuck after getting wrecked

So I've been playing for a while now, loving the game, I'm extremely happy that I can find lobbies full of people despite the game being released years ago. The thing is that whenever I'm playing as a cop (Alldrive of course) and a racer manages to wreck my car, I'm unable to move or bring up any kind of menu, I can only ALT + F4. I can still see other players though, it's just that after my car gets wrecked I can't do anything at all. I'm guessing this is some kind of bug? Thanks.
