Difficulty Settings???

Hey again racers!  Is it just me or does this game seem incredibly difficult right from the very start?  Even in the "easy" races in the low end cars, winning is next to impossible!  Is there a difficulty setting in the options that I'm missing somewhere?  Thanks!

U start with "Easy" green marker to get nitro, than other  4 missions is Medium & Hard, what i've notice on exotics car i man manage all 5 races but with heavy i can't get "Hard"

  • Yea, I get that.  But even the Easy race in the Porsche 911 at the very beginning is crazy-hard!  So there are no difficulty settings anywhere in the game options?

  • Funny, I think it's the other way around. Only difficulty I had was learning how to control the cars and how they behaved as i suspected it would have a copy+paste steering from Hot Pursuit which it did not. The AI in this game is probably the worst yet in an NFS game.

You think "GREEN" circuit race for nos is hard. Wait til u get further in. Trying doing those speed runs later. 1 crash or hard break and it's over you will never hit 120-140mph.

I do agree the starter races are not fair at all. I'm sure they don't have NOS either but they should at least attempt to do some sort of class for cars like NFS: World. Trying to beat AI whose car tops out at 130-150, while you are stuck at 120 is not fair. Not to mention their insane acceleration. I mean you shouldn't be verusing lambos and corvettes at 'green' events with fords and chevies.

  • The game itself uses an adaptive difficulty engine, that means the more races you win and the further ahead you are from oppenents, the harder the races become in the future (and even during the race itself), if you keep losing, the game will cause opponents to crash more often and reduce the difficulty of the opponents.

*The game also reduces the race difficulty when restarting it.

Depends how skilled at NFS games you are. For example, I found the start a bit too easy and was hoping for a higher difficulty setting. I just couldn't find an option to change it

Don't matter how skilled you are...the last chase is rediculously hard if not impossible

Does it though? Decided to replay through the game again. Stuck on a outlaw race. 5 cars racing, yet the cops only chase you. Those other 4 cars know right where the spike strips are. And to top it all off, they get a head start.and a good head start. It’s bs.
