Earn VIP points?

I am a little confused on how the VIP points systems works, seeing as it states "earn", but seems to be no in-game mechanics for earning VIP points; only through purchasing...
I have not accumulated any VIP points to date other than the 50 I started with, so why does the game stipulate these points can be earned?
Purchasing points does not equate to earning, it is merely a purchase...

  • The only way to earn VIP points is buying gold with REAL MONEY, it's up to you do that.

    Happy racing!!

  • @rickeeeee_1 You earn VIP points from buying Gold with real money. That's pretty much it.

By the way, I also only have 50 VIP points as compensation for the delay of Lamborghini Accademia special event back in December 2015. My VIP Level 1 expired a long time ago and I ain't going to buy Gold with real money to earn VIP points. Ever!

You're quite right, the terminology is deceiving... no way to 'earn' VIP points, they can only be purchased. If you were to upgrade (buy up to) the highest VIP level (Level 10 = 150,000 VIP points), you'll end up spending a truck load of REAL cash... somewhere in the region of $2,500-$3,000! That's extortionate for a mobile game.

While we respect that EA still has to pay salaries with real money and we don't mind dishing out a reasonable sum of money to enjoy the benefit of a great game, this kind of pricing is way over the top, even for people with deep pockets. It's got to be a fair exchange!

Get yourself to VIP Level 4 to maintain your VIP status and leave it at that. At VIP level 4 you get sufficient benefits to make the game tolerable in terms of fuel and ticket allowances.

  • Do you purchase airline miles? Do you purchase credit card reward points? Get the point? You pay cash for gold and special packages, not VIP points. These points are just like the loyalty programs offered by airlines, credit card vendors and etc. You don't buy those points, you earn them. Welcome to the word of marketing .

  • I totally disagree with your analogy! You earn sky miles and CC points by purchasing airline tickets and spending money with your credit card. You are actually purchasing something tangible to redeem points that can later be used to purchase another tangible  item or flight. Here you are purchasing nothing and receiving nothing. The terminology “earn” is not correct! Pretty sure this is what sucked about the game Assassins Creed Origins and the reason it received so many bad reviews.
