Error code: 0xc0000005
Hello,
I've spend all day trying to run Need for Speed Heat. I started debugging and found out that the error code is 0xc0000005, which is a memory access violation. The first thing that came to my mind was testing my memory - zero issues. Next I reinstalled windows and just installed my drivers (Chipset, Lan, Audio, GPU etc.). I tried every basic troubleshooting step:
- Run as administrator
- Compatibility-Mode
- Clean-Boot
- As i set completely reset Windows (so there are no corrupt files)
- Updated Drivers & Windows
I also uploaded all files which seem to be necessary for people to debug my situation. Under some forum post someone also wrote that the EA App could be the problem and you should repair it, still hasn't solved it. Tomorrow, I'll try to call the support, but if I'd guess, they cannot help me.
Kind regards
Hey @-SxckMyManu-
Thanks for reaching out to the community on Answers HQ and letting us know what you are running into!
When you have a moment can we try the following?
- Run the System File Checker tool, then Check for Windows and GPU updates
- Repair or Install the VC++ files for your game (Guide here)
- After trying restarting your device and running your client and Heat as an admin to see if you can launch the game
If this continues, would it be possible to test in a new user or admin account?
Thanks!
