Feature Request: Single Player Free Race Mode

While the moment to moment racing in the Single Player Career mode in this game is insanely fun, the lack of a Free Race mode is frustrating. Once the career mode is complete, all that's left to do for Single Player content is to replay events. However, these events all have restrictions on what vehicles you can use and which tracks you can race on. This game desperately needs the ability to allow players to take any car they have unlocked and drive it on any course, in any mode and race against AI opponents.
I don't know if anyone from EA reads these posts but I'm trying to get in touch with someone from the team who works on this title in order to get this feature implemented. Based on the structure of the game and how the different modes work, I have two implementation suggestions that I believe will require minimal work on the dev side. The two options are listed below.
Method 1 (Preferred): Add "Custom Event" options to the Racer/Cop Freedrive menu from the Singe Player Career map. When players select a location from the Career map, they currently have the option to select Freedrive. After selecting Freedrive, the player will then be prompted to select either Freedrive or Custom Event. After selecting Custom Event, the player will then have the ability to select the desired game mode (Hot Pursuit, Race, etc.), track, vehicle class and individual vehicle.
Method 2: Allow players to add AI racers to Private Events in the Online Multiplayer lobby. The suite of options already exists for creating a custom match (mode, track and vehicle selection): all that will be needed is the option for players to populate the lobby with AI racers. This will also allow players to utilize AI racers in the event that they cannot find an online lobby or if the online race servers are down. This feature can also be utilized to fill empty slots in online lobbies with AI racers/cops if players so desire.
I know there is demand for additional single player content for this game, as not all players enjoy online play and the online player base will only diminish over time, leaving Single Player Career mode as the only way to play this game (as is the case with the 2010 release). I believe that adding this feature will not require much dev time and the cost can be recouped by charging for the addition of this mode.
