Totally agree. Unfortunately, already bought this rubbish. They gonna run bankrupt with this super online service which is disconnects all the time. Not gonna buy next NFS and need to sell this somewhere. Played 3 hours and that all folks. Disconnection for half a day!

I too felt dubious about an 'always online' connection. I read all those terrible initial reviews and avoided buying the game, but eventually I thought what the hell and took a gamble, and I have to say I'm really impressed and so glad I bought the game. In my opinion it is the game we have been waiting for and is the best in the series.
What I didn't really get until I started playing was that this isn't your average NFS game. It's not just a one off! The guys at Ghost are calling this 'the living game' as they intend to grow it. The updates so far have already taken care of most of the issues in the initial negative reviews.
The graphics are amazing, the feeling of the game is jaw dropping. OK the cut scenes and acting are kinda funny in places, even corny, but it's funny, and its only a side to the real action of being able to customise a ride, and get out there. The players I've come across online have mostly been cool too.
The game is more like an online game than previous NFS games, like Call of Duty, Elder Scrolls Online etc. Its always online and there are upto 8 players in any one game world. The great thing is when you get a bunch of friends to join and you race as a crew. Its much more fun than you think. My advice? Give it a try!!

I'm going to reply on these three comments. First I'll say,I hate to say it but most games released on the new generation consoles require an online connection. It's just the way things are going now days. Everything is starting to lean towards multiplayer which I personally think is a bad idea. Second,I have only ran into one or two people that rammed my car repeatedly. The worst just recently but I ran him off by returning the favor until he left. I wasn't the only victim that night,a few others had it happen to them while in my game. Lastly,you are going to find yourself with a small amount of games to play. With everything going multiplayer those single player type games are becoming less and less. Well at least for big name title games.
You're missing out on a fantastic NFS game. I like this NFS release just as much as I liked NFS The Run (which I hope they make a 2nd one). This is going to be around awhile as they are going for the living game idea,which is great. The things I hate are the traffic appearing out of the blue in which you may crash into,or being in a race and running into another race going the opposite direction of you. A few other things like,the lack of customization,horrible police,and the lack of daylight racing are my only gripes with the game. I know the game is about the night scene racing,but I hate driving at night constantly. Same thing with the wet roads and rain. But the biggest issue I believe is the lack of vehicle customization and the small vehicle choices. Go out and get yourself a copy because it is totally worth it. It has a lot of potential with Ghost calling it a living game. You won't be disappointed.

There are a couple of things I'd like to see in the next update.
One, Dual headlights for the Golf Mk1. Those look a little bit like an authentic custom touch.
Two, The Mazda RX-7 Veilside bodykit from F&F Tokio Drift. That kit looks so clean and modern. This is also because I don't really like the current bodykits for the RX-7.
Three, Neon lighting. Should've been in the game already, if I'm quite honest. With the current lighting system that would look amazing.
Four, Better brakes in a straight line. In the race Javelin (when you go from full speed high way to a 40 mph 180 degree corner) I noticed it took a really, really long time for me to slow down. Not so much if this was a simulator, but as an arcade game, this felt really out of place.
Other than that, keep the customization options coming. Some cars feel like they don't have really any custom items at all. Although I can understand this being the case for cars like the 458 Italia and the F40, for cars like the Honda S2000 or Nissan 240sx (which are well known for being tuner cars) I think there should be more bumpers, skirts and head- and rear light options.
Bit disappointed with this update, but doesn't mean I'm gonna stop playing this game!
I know you can do it Ghost. You're just trying to get the technical stuff out of the way.

Dude, this is 2016, course you need internet if you want too play with your friends etc. Sorry too say it but Split screen is not trendy anymore, anyway i have played NFS since 1995. Yes you dident need internet then, because it was a new thing back then. But allready in 2002 you needed internet if you wanted too play with yoru friends on NFSHP 2, so i cant understand why you complaining about. Most of us today have fast internet connection either broadband or fiber, just because that you and some others dont have that dosent that mean that EA should hold back just for you.
