Frame Rate Drops in NFS Most Wanted PC

I'm wondering if this is normal... my frame rate drops to the low 20s sometimes evecn 15 in certain scenes but usually stays around 25-35 and in some areas goes up to 60fps

I want to add my experience with the game, i have a similar (or same) issue:
I don't have the best computer, but according to "Can you run it?" my PC overpasses minimum requirements.
My specs are:
Intel E7400 @ 2.8GHz (SpeedStep disabled)
Sapphire HD4830 512 MB
3GB of memory
Game is running @ 1360x768, with:
High res textures ON
Motion Blur HIGH
Shadows NONE
Headlights shadows NO
Ambiet Occlussion NO
Reflex HIGH
Visual effects HIGH
Geometry MEDIUM
Light scattering YES
(I must say, that i've tried setting everything to the minimum but the improve was so minimum that i started to reconfigure it to the best playable configuration possible for my pc. The only thing that seems to bring the FPS down is the resolution, i've tried 1920x1080, my monitor's native resolution, and it was unplayable)
Lockto30 edited to TRUE.
I get 30 fps, but randomly it decays to +-15 FPS and sometimes it freezes for a while... (but it doesn't happen in the same zone).
Look like I'm not the only one having problems with the FPS droping? It's happening to me too. When's the next patch coming out?
