I don't know why, but a single alt+tab and then getting back to the game made my stuttering problems disappear.
So the annoying part is that I need to do this every single time I play Most Wanted. The good part is that now I can play the game properly. But a patch for this would be nice.

Edit: Sorry Guys.......I just use MSI Afterburner to monitor the FPS. It didnt run at 60fps all the time,
but the fps drops less than before for my system(Q9550 + HD 7870 + 4GB RAM) , and I can get better fps in the city.

alt+tab doesn't fix our problem!!!! Still playing the game with **bleep**ty lag!!!!!!!!

Once I alt+tab I can't enter full screen again, unless I restart the game. And my stuttering problems still occur in windowed mode.

Exactly. And it is my understanding that if you're not in full screen, you're not using SLI, rendering half of my power useless (though maybe this has changed since the release of Crytek 2 and BF3).
I really want to play the game, but almost three weeks in and it remains unplayable. I'll give it a little longer, but then I'll be seeking a refund from Origin. There's no point if the game isn't going to be fixed before the online community dies off and then there's nobody to play with.

HOW COULD YOU RELEASE UNPLAYABLE AND UNCOMPLITED GAME, EA???????????????????????????WTF???

You won't be able to return by clicking in anything. I return by pressing alt+enter after I get the game in window mode.
