Alt+tabbing does make my gameplay better by not dropping MW's FPS to 28, 25 frames per second, so it's playable.
But as I said, I don't know why it works for me (or why it works for some of us and it doesn't for some of you) and a patch is still needed.
One thing I was thinking yesterday was that alt+tabbing turns off some gfx effects/options in some games. For example, if you alt+tab in GTA IV or Max Payne 3, there's a high probability that the Vsync will be turned off. This can happen in Codemasters' games as well. Maybe one gfx effect or option that we don't easily realize that if it's on or off is turned off in this process and makes the game run better (even if in gfx option menu, everything looks the same).

This game must go 60fps!! everywhere everytime. at highend machines. its a racing game. any solutions???any news about update?

same i used to get same 25 or lower fps but after i alt tab then go back into the game the lowest fps i got was 38, my proof is on page 15

im new here 1st post have been reading all the posts and this is what i find works a bit for me
i have an acer 8930g laptop with vista
to keep full sceen i ctrl -alt -del and select task manager while game is fully loaded
then i right click the game in taskmanager and give it high priority and my game is smoother but not 100% but a hell better
the game is windowed but still full screen

Thank you! This pretty much solves my issues. There's still a slight bit of stutter but it's completely playable now.
