Frame Rate Drops in NFS Most Wanted PC

I'm wondering if this is normal... my frame rate drops to the low 20s sometimes evecn 15 in certain scenes but usually stays around 25-35 and in some areas goes up to 60fps

I'm logged into the Origin client now and the only add-on available is the Time Saver pack. Perhaps it was dropped from the PC only recently, before all the links to it could be removed?
Pretty annoying, I was planning on buying it.
