Please stop selling them the idea to lock frame at 30 fps or other tricks to help.It will makes Ea and Cliteria think the game is ok and don't need to be fixed.
I don't know if I'm extraterrestrial but I can see differences in framerates up to 120 fps and maybe more. I want everything to run at 120 because I notice a difference. Needless to say that 30 fps is so ¬£@¬¢@¢¬@£¤¦ UGLY to me. and looks like I'm having a pressure drop.
I know some people are asses and see only 30fps in real life so they unfortinatly don't notice anything. It's probably the reason why they still play on consoles. Probably the reason why they s\/ck at sports too and they take part of America worst driver show. By the way. If you can play a racing game at 30 fps and think it's ok, don't drive your real car too fast.
There's no such thing as people who only see in 30fps. Eyes do not have a framerate - they're not digital - they process a continuous stream of light (and therefore motion) at all times. 25-30fps is simply the minimum ideal framerate for persistence of vision to work - the phenomenon in which a series of still images shown in quick succession appear to us as motion. Any trained eye is capable of perceiving the difference between 30 and 60 fps, and again when you go beyond, to 120 or 200 (though the latter difference takes even more training). Most people simply don't know what to look for, so they say crazy things like "I only see in 30fps".
In any case, I am not one of those people. I have a huge appreciation of 60fps over 30 - it's why I'm primarily a pc gamer - but I don't believe that fast games are somehow less playable in any technical way when you drop to 30. Unless your reaction speed is faster than a 30th of a second (it isn't, by the way), there shouldn't be any significant difference in your ability to play the game. The difference is purely aesthetic. Aesthetics are definitely important - they play a huge part in comfort - and you're right to feel that this game should run better than it does. It really should. There is definitely something wrong with it. I hope they fix it soon. I just disagree with the notion that something which is considered perfectly playable on consoles should be angrily labelled as unplayable on PC when it's the exact same product. Personally I find it really jarring when I first go to 30fps, but after an hour or so I get used to it - and I can still play pretty **bleep** well. "Unplayable" seems like an exaggeration.
But then, maybe that's just me. Maybe there are some people for whom 30fps has been completely ruined by long-term exposure to higher framerates. I get that - at least to a point. I'm just confused as to how you deal with watching movies (24fps), or tv shows (25-30fps), or... anything other than videogames and real life?
