Try removing any other USB devices other than mouse, keyboard and the G25 and retry. It is possible that some other USB device, an external hard drive for example, could be interfering with detection of the wheel.
No other usb devices on the PC. Also noticed with todays update the G25 isn't listed in the supported wheel sets. So what's right, the update or the forum post here?
The misinformation and issues with steering wheel sets I have to say is pretty ridiculous for a driving game...
Uninstalled, reinstalled twice, once with absolutely nothing but steering wheel in USB. Functions perfectly under windows and shows all inputs in logitech profiler, tried closing logitech profiler and running NFS also, still doesn't detect anything and can't map inputs.
So where is this fabled support?
Managed to fix this, for anyone who has a gaming mouse you may need to do something similar to the following:

Never had an issue with this in any game published by a major developer though and for something with controller support this really should have been better thought out... I imagine anyone with any kind of custom set up will not get things t work properly.

I'm a bit confused as one of your posts is marked as resolved. Could you clarify: are you still experiencing this issue?
Our official list does state that the G25 should be supported. I just went into the game and cannot find it while scrolling through the controller list. I will chase this up for you to see what happened.
I have a mouse which has a joystick axis assigned to it, means it's recognised as a game controller and was pulling priority over the wheel for some reason. method in link disables this behaviour.
Marked as solved because I solved it!

It does turn out that the G25 actually shouldn't be on our supported list and that it was added there by mistake. I want to therefore thank you for bringing this to our attention. The current correct list can be found on the Need for Speed website:

The list in our main wheel thread on this board has been updated, and I have forwarded a request to have our EA Help article updated as well. I do want to apologize for this mistake.
If you have any other questions then please reach out to me again.
