Game breaking bug on MANUAL gearbox with controller

We should be able to remap our buttons in NFS: Heat. Everything is R1 which is also the upshift button. I’m in a cop chase and I instinctively try to shift up but that only results in me losing $10,000 because that’s the same button to bribe the cops. Also when leaving a garage it’s very annoying to upshift and get sucked back into the garage and deal with the loading screens.
