I will try to assist with this issue and I have a few questions.
Platform: PC
Most of you have probably tried this already but I have seen that adjusting the resolution might resolve the issue for some players.
So the first check is to make sure the screen resolution (Win.7: Control Panel-->Appearance and Personalization-->Display-->Screen Resolution) matches to the Game screen resolution or try to adjust it.
Are you playing with the display on multiple screens?
Can you confirm the issue is not occurring if playing windowed mode?
What is your graphic card?
In game menu (Option-->Display--> Margin scale) is set to 100% ?

Are you playing with the display on multiple screens? No - 1 screen 2560x1440 (native res)
Can you confirm the issue is not occurring if playing windowed mode? The low frame rate in the animation is fixed but it does still crash 10% of the time (better than 80% in full screen mode).
What is your graphic card? ATI 7850
In game menu (Option-->Display--> Margin scale) is set to 100% ?Yes
I really hope that the devs get on top of this issue, it's been going for over 6 months.
