Game will not playback "Most Wanted" intro animations

My rig will run NFSMW with ease with Windows 7 64 bit,  an i7 3770 cpu, 8 gigs DDR3 and a 1GB Radeon HD7770 GFX card, all settings on high.  My problem is the intro segments into the 10 "Most Wanted" races.  

#10 and #9 executed first try albeit stuttering and ragged looking.  #8 caused a lockup I had to three finger out of.  Problem got progressively worse till now I'm at #4 and cannot go any further.  PC locks if you let the routine run and it locks if you try to abort it.

I have tried the current version of Catalyst, previous version of Catalyst and the version on the card mfg. website.  I have deleted and reinstalled the device each time with different drivers.  I have run the "Repair" tool on Origin's site twice, both time the result was "No corrupt files and game is up to date".  I've overclocked , underclocked, tweaked voltage and timing on both board and card, nothing helps.

This behavior not found in any other game or application including 3DMark, Farcry3, Dirt Showdown, etc.

    This is EXACTLY the same issue I reported on here a couple days ago, with absolutely no response from anyone as of yet.

    The only thing I would add, is that this problem DID NOT EXIST prior to the latest patch. How do I know? Because I have tried this particular MW race (#8) several times prior to the 'patch' with no problems whatsoever. Now, after patch, the intro movie starts, locks up, and cannot be bypassed. Just for fun (?), I tried going to the next race in the list (#7)..same behavior. Funny enough, I can run ANY other race in the game, with no problems - it is ONLY when trying to knock one off the MW list that the problem comes up.

    Cold nasty day so trying to play a little NSFMW.  Extremely frustrating to have an expensive game that's crippled due to locking up nine times out of ten when  i try to launch a Most Wanted race.

    The game runs great...when it runs.

    If i only get to play half the game then where do I send my request to get half my money back?

    Yep still an issue and so annoying. I had the game for 360 when it first came out and completed it with no problems. 

    I took it on Origin as my free game choice for the terrible SimCity launch disaster and now I have another piece of crap buggy game for my trouble.

    I can crank the game and it runs great doing everything else but the intro video to the Most Wanted races. Locks up every time now. 

    Was hoping for a fix to this, but I should have known better.

    I am running a 650ti with the newest driver set and it is only this game that crashes like this. 

    Loosing all faith in EA at this point.
