Game/Car/Money glitch

I have been playing nfs heat for the last few months and I've noticed that at times when I turn off then turn back on the game I will sometimes have more money than what i had before i turned it off ...

I have an issue with this inventory thing. Say if I sell a car, and get money. Then I turn the game off, turn it back on, and the car is still there and the money I had before selling it is still there. Any help?
