Lost save progress after reinstall / EC:10606 – 45h47m shown but no career
Hi EA Team,
My personal save data for Need for Speed Heat is missing.
My EA account shows 45 hours 47 minutes of playtime. I previously played on GeForce NOW using my account and all progress was available. After returning on my PC (Steam + EA App linked), the game only offers a new save and my garage/story are gone. In-game snapshots are still visible, but the career save is not.
On PC, the folder Documents\Need for Speed Heat\SaveGame only contains a new 2025 save. Steam Cloud does not list Need for Speed Heat for my account. Launching via the EA App sometimes shows error EC:10606 indicating no cloud save.
Request: Please check whether my old save exists on EA’s servers for this account and restore it. If not, please confirm whether this is a known sync issue between GeForce NOW and PC and advise any manual recovery steps. I can provide screenshots of the EC:10606 message and proof of playtime if needed.

Yeah, quick update — EA support wasn’t able to return my progress. The case was escalated, but nothing came out of it. I actually managed to recover my saves myself.
A friend of mine had played my account before through GeForce Now, and luckily the old local saves were still there. He logged in, played one race to refresh the save, and after that when I launched the game on Steam, all my progress synced back.
So in short: EA didn’t fix it, but I was able to recover everything through GeForce Now/local saves.
