"got your back" mission bug

Product: Need for Speed Heat
Platform:Microsoft XBOX One
Summarize your bug in the night mission "got your back" Shaw is indestructible for me so I can not complete the mission.
What car were you using? 2015 ford mustang gt
Was the car your own build or downloaded from the in-game community? Personal Build
What was the last event you played? got your back
Was it a day or a night event? Night Event
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? when I play the mission and get to the part where I have to take down it is not possible
What happens when the bug occurs? shaw is unable to be taken down
What do you expect to see? I expected to see shaw take damage when I crash in to him but he does not

    I've had this exact same problem on PC.  It seems that switching to any other car will allow you to damage Shaw and complete the mission.  I've had success with the BMW M3 and the Ferrari 488.  I've heard the Mercedes A AMG and the Nissan 180x work as well.

    I’m having the exact same problem for some reason my 180sx won’t do anything to Shaw’s car and it forced me to replay the mission 3 times before I rage quitted the 4th attempt because I’m not wasting my time doing that silly mission anymore, the cops in this game are severely unbalanced and it’s sad.

    Ive tried using the M3, Skyline R34, and the Mustang GT. It does damage to him but his health bar fills right back up once I hit him again.

    Three years later, same issue. My car is a wreck his is still at 100%. I sideswiped his car at around 160 mph when he was standing still after a bad turn and he lost about 35-40% health. When we had untangled ourselves, his car was on 100% health again.

    Bought a BMW M3 and tuned it up and suddenly I had no problem taking the cop car out so solution confirmed, thanks. That saved me uninstalling already.

    Also though. Polestar with IC engine sounds. Ermahgerd, that's so wrong. Is it really too much to ask that when EA put an electric car in a game they make it ... well ... electric? xD

    Im having a similar but different issue. When it started ana was at 0% and neither of them are moving. I can break shaw but nothing happens if i get his bar to 0.
