Heat keeps crashing when leaving garage

I'm at my wits end here. I stopped playing the game for about a month, when i came back to it, it would start up like normal, but I would go to leave the garage and the screen will freeze on the garage scene but lose all the menus. Shortly afterwards the game crashes. It does this EVERY TIME I try and run the game. Been trying to fix it for a month now. I have ensured my os, graphics drivers, direct x, ect are up to date. I have made sure that heat, origin, and steam are the only things running when I try to play. I have made sure to remove any community skins I had (only had 1) I even removed the skins and exited without attempting to leave the garage just to be sure it saved. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both heat and origin twice. No matter what I do the issue persists. The only thing i can think of at this point is it doesn't like the fact i now have direct x 12 , but i have yet to find a way to revert back and I do not get any error message. anyone have any suggestions or advice? I'm at a total loss here. I don't understand how it ran flawlessly when i played before, changed nothing and now it refuses to function.

Edit: If it matters, the last time I was able to play i hit the point in the story where we try to race threw the chop shop it fails and you have to move garages. I have niot been able to successfully leave the new garage

  • Hey, @bonvodragonlord can you try a clean boot to see if any programs are messing with HEAT and turn off any overlay programs, such as Discord or Nvidia experience.

Can you add a Dxdiag so we can see what hardware and drivers you have?

Let me know if this works or not for you. 🙂

Hi! On my pc hardware caused this error. It was connected with a Logitech driving force shifter usb converter. Removing this solved the error.
