Heat level 1-5

Greetings

Nerf

Nah just kidding, just saw this thread:

https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/NFS-Heat-Level-3/td-p/8398307

To answer to that with my own thread: Buff the cops, what is that joke? 7 cops max? not even attacking you? I'm talking 400+ cars, oh wait, every car, hell even the Volvo 242 with no performance upgrades can OUTRUN the police up to literally Heat level 3, don't listen to people whining about the game being to hard, man turn the game to easy if you can't handle it, the cops are a JOKE.

You don't need to be a great racer, I myself am not a good one, but if you can't outrun Heat 3 then I'm sorry for you, that is just not a reason to nerf the cops.

I'd say, either leave them at that, to make those people not suffer more, or at least balance them out because I'm pretty sure that everyone that reached level 50 and did the High Heat Races (3 and 5) saw that it's a joke of a race. The helicopter doesn't even stay on you if there is no car chasing you, fix that, the police maximum is somewhat 7, unless you find other police cars, you have to babysit them even on Heat 5

Also, a cheat spot is not jumping over ramps to lose them, a cheat spot is if you jump ontop of a thing and literally let them destroy themselves while you farm REP, if you just jump over a ramp and lose the cops, that's totally fine and just the easiest way to lose them, otherwise downtown turn at like every other corner and they get stuck in the buildings. If you really think about balancing it out, leave it as it is and give the cops actual attacks and make them maybe rubberband less BUT be more persistent, because right now, they tend to leave the chase sometimes

  •  lol, the cop system is broken. Looks like you got the better end of it.
Sometimes it's a breeze to outrun even level 4 or 5. At other times (mostly when you are speeding on a long straight for a period of time) it's a mess, with 7 cops chasing and ramming you at full speed at the middle of level 3.
It feels more like a loose screw in an engine. Sometimes it's peak performance and you can get away with it, other times it's just pure frustration.
But if people's idea of fun is looking for the nearest ramp or having to worry about repairs in the long run, then sure, have fun... I'm level 43 and for me, when I think about it, I have gotten all I got out of this game: Fast cars (not the fastest, but hey, I had my fun with some) unlocked, felt the frustration of being rammed by three cop cars at once every now and then and get crushed instantly and the very few times I actually got out with ease and other times I used up my three repairs + upgrade.
    The story is meh.

I am believing this game is really broken and hasn't been playtested one bit, straight out to retail copy. Most of use or atleast half are struggling more then we are having fun with the cop chases. Half or even less people are having "fun" and have nooooo problems whatsoever. I bet they don't even need the repairs! /sarcasm
Serious, if it's really like this, that they tend to leave the chase sometimes at higher heat levels, you really need to make a video of that.
Or even a screenshot with five to seven cops behind you on the minimap and the words escaping on it. 😉

  • i don't see much of a difference in searching for a ramp or looking for a pursuit breaker in NFSMW 2005, i agree that at the beginning you can kinda struggle with higher heat levels but in the end game i never really struggled to escape from the cops with or without using ramp the only times i got busted was because i hit some random traffic car in a blind corner.

that just driving fast wont always help to escape from the cops should be common sense.

@DownToMyLastUwU I haven't played any NFS games since Underground. So I don't know what a pursuit breaker is.
I used to old fashioned way of outrunning cops. So yeah, that was driving fast and wild. 😛

Maybe I should finish the story first and see if anything changes.
