How do you unlock the BMW m3 gtr in multiplayer

Firstly, you need to own the Need for Speed: Heroes DLC.
Secondly, you need to complete 24 online races with sport cars. When that is done, you will have it unlocked.
The BMW M3 GTR is a very fierce competitive race car and I have used it in many races, usually coming near the top positions.

So does that mean I have to get first place in races with my sport car
