How to play single player mode?

I have read you can play in single player mode. i understand you have to be online to play in single player, but I don't know how? Just bought the game, I dont have a controler yet. Just trying to figure out how to play in single player mode.

@RiversideFab The way to do it is thus. First start a regular Alldrive game and wait for it to load your garage. Now open your game menu, click Options->Game Options->Play alone.
