I am the SpeedHunter Event- No upgrade kits in any event

So I completed this 5 day challenge to win Nissan Skyline. However, this was the first event where I could not get any upgrade kit. I had my car at PR 659 and was required to reach PR 689 for the final race. I had materials in every slot but needed upgrade kit to improve the parts further. Out of 17 events on the last day, no event granted an upgrade kit. I am not sure why this was the case, as all previous limited time events used to grant these kits to help us progress.

In the end, I had to spend 160 Gold to get 2 upgrade kits and complete the event.

I need upgrade kits to finish my last race and realize that no upgrade kits came along during previously won races, which is usually the norm.

Think they are being deliberate about spending gold to win.

I wrote in to support about this considering this may be a bug.

Have been playing for over an year and in no mood to give in to this tactics, hence waiting for support to respond, which I doubt will happen before the series ends.

If not a bug, It wont be fun playing these events any more, since once cant be sure of them being fair.

Time to apply breaks on my stint with this game.

@Red_Hood_1810  and @Capt_Haddock_77  - here is a tip for you:

During the special event, right from day one, (and once you have enough money) start watching for the upgrade kits in the SE Store.

The store refreshes every hour. As soon as you see an upgrade kit sold for $ (NOT gold!), buy it and keep it in your garage. Only buy each kit once. Because you are likely to win more required kits as you progress in the SE.

By buying the kits for $ during the event you will save your gold and you are guaranteed to have a kit when you need it. And worst case scenario, if you are left with a spare kit at the end of the SE you'll get game $ for it.

I have been doing this for a while and it works well for me. Sometimes there are no kits for $ for 2 days straight (i.e. only sold for gold), but eventually they do appear in the shop for cash (usually $12500).

    Try it....

Thanks but my point is that for ll the events I participated over the last year, I always found these kits as obvious earnings after races. Never had to stock them, and stocking special parts was the norm.

    With this, it changed.

However I completed this series by buying a kit using gold.

Agreed! I just made a post about this and it's ridiculous! I've done so many races and it's obvious that you can't win the events unless you spend real money on gold. I REALLY wish they would improve this
  • @yud111 While it is true that you can get upgrade kits from store using $, it is less likely to be the kit you need. Have to agree with @Capt_Haddock_77 on this one. All previous events have always granted kits in the events, and we needed to repeat events for materials only to increase PR. This is the only event where no event granted the kits.

@bjohnson072 Glad to know I was not the only one bothered by it. I have spent Gold in these events, but it has always been only on tickets to save time on last day. Lets see if we get any response from Firemonkey.
