I can't play Need for Speed Hot Pursuit

Hi, I recently bought NFS:HP using the £2 promotion code. However, after installing the game I tried to play it, but as soon as I hit 'play' the game 'launched' with only a black screen, then after a few seconds it went back to my desktop, minimized as only a blank application/black screen. I've tried running Origin as Administrator, and I've tried running the launcher in the game folder, but it says that I don't have a copy of the game!

What's going on, how can I play?

SUCCESS. Seen as EA don't know the solution, I finally managed to find it. If you use NVidia, use your GeForce Experience, and then change the option for the game by optiming, getting the correct resolution.

I missed out a detail, the game launchers minimized.

Anyone? I am very unhappy about the help EA have provided, and I'm still waiting for an actual solution which EA havn't provided in their 'contact us' by direct chat. I'm trying a re-install and if this still is 'faulty' with no outcome, will be considering contacting You & Yours on the BBC... They seem to deal with customer issues pretty well.
