Need for Speed Prostreet "kan game niet starten"

Got NFS Prostreet installer from the link EA App provides, installed it with defaults, everything went successfully, EA App recognized the game is installed but when trying to start the game I get the same error message that has been reported in these forums several times over the last decade - in wrong language I might add since my Windows language and language selected on game install are all English:

Nothing from the threads from years ago has helped. Compatibility modes are not the solution, clearing cache or licenses from EA App are not the solution. Newer games obviously are there and work.

Hello londiste,
There is nothing much I can recommend except to reinstall your game on a different drive, check for updates for your CPU and GPU drivers. After that, try launching the game directly from inside the EA app.
If nothing works, then you should try talking with EA support.

EA Support was very useless in this regard. After seemingly understanding the problem they had no solution. And the game still has the exact same problem when I tried it now.
