I cant save my progress on NFS Payback (PC Version)

You have completed missions etc.?  That is strange.  The game should be saving after each mission segment you complete.  Open a help ticket to Support or report a BUG.

My issue on the Xbox One-X is similar, but so far it’s not forcing me to start completely over. I decided to hold off completing the campaign missions, The Highway Heist and Skyhammer until I beat the 2nd group of leagues. So I did that yesterday, and then successfully completed Heist and Skyhammer. I know I completed them because I got the rewards and the cutscenes. I then spent some time buying/tuning new cars, after which I noticed the New Mission icons for Heist and Skyhammer we’re still on the map. I closed the game, reopened and got the New Missions Available notification, but the only new missions on the map are Heist and Skyhammer, the missions I just completed. I have to tell you, after having to drive around with Jess actually standing on the roof of her car, this kind of thing ticks me off. I bought the premium version of the game, and for that amount of money, I shouldn’t have to do missions over unless I want to. Especially if there’s no guarantee that re-doing the missions will actually advance the game. No. If I have to re-do these missions in this game, I’ll just give it up. I’m at the point now where if I waste money on a Triple-A game that doesn’t work, that developer will never get another dime of my money.

Hi, it is a access problem on your save location folder . you have to check your anti virus. if you are using windows defender, open windows defender and  go to virus & threat protection -> Ransomware protection -> allow an app through controlled folder access. then select nfs exe file in on your installed location. 

Method doesn't help both in cloud and local saves.

Make sure that save folder is VISIBLE!

Somehow game does not save in invisible folder.
