Franchises evolve. If they would have kept the exact same path, the series would have become stagnant. They changed, bring something new to every game.
Again, if you don't like it, don't buy it. There are plenty of games with exactly what you're looking for. All you're doing is whining about something being different than what you're used to and coming off as an entitled child.
That's all.
"bring something new"..? you mean by revamping old versions of the game? example "most wanted >>2012<<"
the games you THINK are "exactly what were looking for" are.. sims? nobody indicated that THAT was what they were looking for (and forza is the most pathetic thing i have ever seen,a racing game with a rewind button instead of nitro...), i think we all enjoy the arcade racer over sims or we wouldnt be here. furthermore this isnt any different than what were used to! its pretty much exactly like the past few games infact.. except with even more garbage the game doesnt need. its different than what they promised (in the same way THPS5 was) in the "back to the roots" department.. which IS actually what we are entitled to!
i gotta say if anyone sounds like a child its YOU, because you dont seem to know the history of racing games (or care for that matter), youre just here to defend the mediocrity. you dont seem to recognize the fact that all the fun racing games are gone and most of the great developers are either dead or hollowed out shells of themselves and most of the franchises are also dead, having been replaced by boring simulators.
if YOU wanted to play dress up you could have just bought test drive unlimited 2 instead of trying to shoehorn your "agenda" into a need for speed game. it also doesnt excuse the soundtrack or any of the other stuff that sucks about the game (not the actual driving mind you, that part is business as usual).. how does it have such bad load times in single player on a m.2 drive? oh thats right, they spent all the money they should have spent on optimization on tattoos and clothes.
