I just learned that there's no free-roam pursuits...
I don't know if you guys already knew this but apparently this is a thing. The only way to start a pursuit is through a bait crate.
I mean...really? Come on.

- Tell us were you saw this. I see where it says if you fancy a little cop action, hit a bait crate. That does not necessarily mean there won't be free roam pursuits. With them putting so much effort into police chases, I highly doubt there won't be any free roam police pursuits. The last game had free roam pursuits. I highly, highly doubt they would take that out.

While I'm here, I might as well plug in my solution:
If you bring your car to a stop, and pull up a menu, you will have an option to "Call" in a police car. This option starts a 3-second countdown, and then spawns a police car right behind you. This police car will not chase you unless you do something wrong, so if you change your mind last second, you can still avoid getting into a pursuit.
- I still do not see it being confirmed by an EA or Ghost Games official. It all seems like speculation still.

Everything was going so well too. I hadn't really found anything to nitpick about (maybe the lack of dynamic weather but that was it).
This takes me back to the old days of NFS development where you'd see one good idea then it was gone the next game (NFS Underground 2's advanced customization was nowhere to be found in NFS Most Wanted).
What was the reasoning for this baffling omission (or rather removal)?It really seems like you are all just looking for stuff to point out , No this and that.. A game can NEVER be perfect, Its impossible.. Okay?
Now , Yes. There is no dynamic weather nor free-roam pursuits but this isnt a huge deal for 80% of the community , You got Day & Night cycle and you can start a cop chase when ever you want by driving up to one , Just like The Crew does it. (Yes , The Crew does have cops roaming the streets but its REALLY rare for them to go after you) , Its been a requested feature by alot of the community including myself because i dont want to hit a cop by accident and with that be in a pursuite for 20 mins.
If you hit bait crate, you start a pursuit from a A point to a B point with a limited time. Sorry for you but i can't call this a pursuit. It's a open world and they limite cops action for nothing. I need cops in free roam and yes it's a huge deal for the commmunity. Every Need for Speed with an Open world had free-roam pursuit and now they break that. I'am really impatient to see comments about Need for Speed Payback : "The world is empty" "Some activities but nothing else" "Cops missing in the Open World"
Ah and Need for Speed... it's not The Crew and the Crew is not Need for Speed.
@kartov93 I want to see where you came to the conclusion that 80% of the community has requested no free roam cops. One of the big selling points of this game was cops. They talked about pursuits and then told us the only way to do a pursuit is with a point to point timed event or through story missions. That is not a real pursuit and it is also unrealistic. It is a racing game with cops, what is the point in cops if they dont chase you in the open world?
What ever , You cant accept the fact that there is no free roaming police , I like it. I dont want to crash into a cop and start a pursuit for 20 mins..
You can always not buy the game just because of it or get over it already.. Its not in the game period. Insted of moaning you can do something more helpfull and make contect with one of the devs and tell him good and strong Feedback so they will take it into consideration , Maybe even adding this in a future update. The community have a strong voice , Ghost are here to listen , Im sure they listen to us by now , They know that now most of the community do want free roaming cops.
I cant really show you that 80% of the community requested this + I never said that 80% of the community requested no free-roaming cops , But from what i can remember most of the people didnt like the police at all in NFS15.. So maybe Ghost just decided to get rid of them in Free-roam
Blackpanthaa , a big guy in the Need For Speed scene has said this ''Personally , Is it going to effect my experience on enjoyment with the game? Maybe a little bit.. But not enough to make me complain that much'' And i agree with him.
