When you purchase the game you're provided with a code also called product key.

If you buy a second hand copy however be aware that most of the time, the code is already used and cannot be redeemed in your account.

Did you buy a copy?

If so, typically the serial number is located on the back of the CD or DVD case, on the lower left hand section. In cases where the game was bundled by Gateway or purchased through Scholastic, the serial number may be found in one of three other locations:

• The inside of the case
• The back of the manual
• On a separate piece of cardboard or paper

If your purchase was made from the Origin Store, Right-click your game’s tile and select Show Game Details.
In the game details screen you’ll see your Product Code as well as additional information on your game.
