One more song. From The Run, "On The Road Again" by Canned Heat.
I did not emphasise offline mode, but on why do people want offline mode:
1) In theory, it is awesome that you can join other players in your session on the fly, but, there are lots on people who purposely seek out your race, and park on the road, or try to ram you, in attempt to ruin your race. Not all surf through menus to find "play alone"*.
2) In theory, it is good that you can't pause the came, since... It makes you more focused? But, real life happens. You can get a phone call, visitors, or the person you live with, needs help. When you're preparing food, and you have to leave something in the oven for over an hour, you may want to play a game, and then the timer begins to beep. I have also read that holding your pee in is unhealthy, and sometimes you just have to take a dump right away. It may sound gross, but it is what it is.
3) In theory, it is 2016, and everyone in the world has fibre optic connection, but it is not so. Some people have very slow connection, and they are lucky if they have access to fast connection at work or friend's house. Some places have no cable network installed, and although their phone company claims they have awesome coverage in that area, it simply is not so. Even elevation may disturb the signal.

* Not having played the game myself, I hope there is an option for a private game, like in Rivals, where you are alone in a session, but friends can join you.
